FXDXT seat height
I'm looking for opinions here, so any feedback would be appreciated.
After several weeks of looking, I bought a 2001 FXDXT, the T-Sport. I love this bike, and I didn't think the height would be a problem since I rode a tall bike all through the '80s and '90s. But I'm finding that it does bother me to only be able to reach the pavement with my toes at stoplights. I guess as I've gotten older, I've come to appreciate having my feet planted solidly on the ground.
In every other way, I'm completely satisfied with this bike. Is there any way I can safely, and relative economically, lower it to an average Dyna Super Glide height, like 26 inches instead of 29 (according to on-line specs at BikeZ.com)? My wife and I enjoy day-long cruises and paved back roads, and I don't ride fast through the canyons, so handling shouldn't be an issue in that regard. Would a lowering kit work? Different shocks front and rear? Or should I just sell it and buy a Super Glide?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Bags won't fit with lowering blocks. It changes the shock angle and it interferes with the bags.

I lowered the forks into the trees about 3/4" and put on 12.5" 418 progressives on back; made a big difference. The seat can add quite a bit too, in comfort and height...I might add that the 418's were OK two-up but too firm solo (I'm 195)...with no spring options...running stock suspension front and rear now that she bought her own bike and with a Danny Grey solo I'm confidently low when I need to paddle out of a parking spot.....
