thatll work! I prefer mobil 1 20w50 in the motor and primary.., and amsoil severe gear in the tranny,,,

If you are curious, H-D Formula+ is also known as Citgo 10W-40 (thank you Hugo Chavez).

Harley oil is provided to Harley by the lowest bidder. Synthetic oil is over rated, the ROI has NOT been proven. That being said, I've used plenty of syn. oil. In short, use quality oils and change per manufacturer's recommendations. Outside of that, unless you have proof from an unbiased source that brand X or type Y is soooo much better than Delo 400 or Castrol in your bike/car/whatever, you have nothing to worry about. I think oil weight is important though. Again, per manfs. recommendation.


PS: These oil threads are great entertainment. No offense to the OP, really.

Using the same oil for the trans and primary does not make sense to me, they are compleatly different applications. Try the search function, oil has been gone over before.

why is everyone confusing him...the answer is yes, as long as its synthetic. the answer is also yes about its in the manual
