try some tin foil folded up. it works well on a lot of diff stuff. its not as abrasive as it might sound..try a small area and let us know if it worked.
O wet the tin foil first and use the shiny side.

hey whiff...did you ever hear of something called navel(naval? not sure of the spelling) jelly. It's this pink stuff that I used to use on old bicycle spokes. It'll definitely remove the pitting and any rust as well. You may loose some shine though.
this hasn't started on mine yet, but I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on it. Thanks for the post!
Todd
As I recall, Naval jelly has some acid in it. It may etch into whatever finish is on the spokes and make things worse.
I live near the ocean and have a boat and 03 wide glide. Both have experienced some minor pitting on chrome and aluminum parts. My marina suggested Woody Wax, ok ok stop laughing everyone but that is the name. It's a little expensive, BUT it has removed all signs of corrosion and pitting. It's like magic. I use a plastic sos type pad to apply and a soft cloth to wipe down. Several others have used it on their Harley's with the same great results. It is also a preservative for chrome and aluminum. Me and my friends have tried everything and nothing else comes even close.
I have the one and only solution to keeping your spokes bright and shiney, and there is no substitute for it.
Known as.... Stainless Steel Spokes and Nipples. You can rebuild both wheels at a cost of about $150 per wheel for ss spokes and nipples (if you built them yourself) and easily triple that if you have a dealer do it.
A wheel is easy to build, especially if all you are doing is replacing rusted chrome or factory cad spokes/nipples with stainless.
Trust me here.....there is NOTHING like having stainless spokes. Get 'em at Buchanan..................pg
