I just went and stocked up 3 cans at Home Hardware- $26.00 a can here in Canada- Hope it has a good shelf life cause I'm not sure what I will use it for yet, but heard they were going to discontinue???Environmental???They have black red and yellow here- for some reason yellow is more money.
i'm lucky enough to live close to the border so got 3 cans shipped to a PO box in the states and just popped across to pick them up... $7 a can
I've my horn cover, ac cover and windshield hardware drying right now, I'll post pics when I put them back on tomorrow... If they all go as well as expected I'll have the front wheel off this weekend to do the lower forks!
I did my turn signals, fork lowers, & 10 spoke cast wheels about a year ago. It's all held up well and looks great. I did the wheels originally to see if I liked the look and was going to powder coat them but after a year of almost daily use and a 60 mile commute to work they still look great so I'm keeping them that way.
I f you went with 3 or 4 coats it will hold up very well[quote=iDodgimus;9684726]horn and ac cover back on the bike - interested to see how it holds up as my leg rubs the ac cover sometimes!
I did my Bell Custom 500 helmet with the stuff last weekend. It looks great, except a couple tiny spots near the chrome trim surround where I got too close to the surface to be painted with the blue masking tape I'd used. Overspray isn't such a bid deal with Pasti-Dip as it peels off easily; if your masking tape is too close to the surface you want "dipped" then the coating may peel off a little when you remove the tape.
It's scarcely noticeable and I'm not planning on redoing it just yet.
Next time you use it....pull the tape when it's still wet and it won't lift the edge
