Thanks, @Narddog and @Thingfish for the advice. I think I should be able to give it a try this weekend. Will probably try the dash and cowbell to start with, and go from there. If all else fails, the guy that bought my seat offered to powdercoat for me just for the cost of the powder. , so I might take him up on that offer.
Need some help/input. After the failures with Plastidip (pics in posts above) I decided to try the Duplicolor gloss 'clear' Custom Wrap Removeable Paint. I used their wax/grease remover on the fairing first (aerosol can), then went to spray the Duplicolor and it came out of the can really chunky in blobs. Read a review on Amazon where a guy had the same issue (can was shaken up well)
It didn't look to be self-leveling (like a 3M product I once used) so I quickly ran to the hose to quickly spray this crap off the fairing. an hour later with a sponge and elbow grease I think I got all of it off but its left the fairing white and hazy. Pretty frustrating. See pics.
How do I fix this? I'm not quite sure why the fairing looks like this now or what the issue even is. If it hadnt of been for the blobs coming from the can I would have kept applying coats.

Sorry, but it's probably best to cut your losses and either (1) sand/rattle-can that fairing w/regular spray, or (2) take it to a pro for re-painting. You've got so much crap on the surface & it needs to be stripped off for anything to properly adhere...IMO.

I already fixed it. Thankfully I have some wet sanding experience....brought it back to new.
I coated everything that was chrome including exhaust...so far so good. but I need to do some touch ups on occasion
You PlastiDipped the chrome parts on the engine, too? And forks, and handlebars, and triple trees, and mirrors, and sissy bar, and wheels?! Does the heat from the engine/pipes affect it?
Everything that was chromed...so yes. the heat at times will cause the dip to lift, but not peel itself, then I just peel once cooled and respray...if you ride longer, then have to respray more often.
