How do youn adjust the shocks on a 2012 wide glide?

Just a thought, when I got my bike the preloads on the shocks were set at the lowest level. Bringing them up a few notches really helped the ride.

Of course in your case being 100# over the max you might have to bring them to full preload.

you can also use one of those rubber oil filter wrenches if you have one.

remember to always go clock wise though even when going to a lower number as it is much harder to crank backwards.. IE you are at 3 and want to go to 2... keep going clickwise to 4-5 and it will pop back to 1 and then 2..

I am looking to put on Progressives 11' 430 shocks. I have read really good things about the length and quality of those shocks.

I have them on my 2011 WG and I like them a lot. I weight 175lbs and never ride two up. I have not had any issues with these shocks and no mods were needed to make them work.
