Did you say that you changed the cams that came in the 120R to different cams? Did your 120R come with the new 2012 Billet Cam Plate and Upgraded Oil Pump also?
Stock cams. Motor built in Feb so all 2012 upgrades
If your bike will pull a 4th gear wheelie (even using the clutch is ok) I will seriously start saving my dough for this engine...
Oh I think it will so start saving. I can't full throttle it in 1-3rd. Just can't hold on and it zips through to red line so fast its hard to shift fast enough. Freeway no issue. Spinning 2K in 3rd or 4th it doesn't even bog down. Just twist and away you go. Torque to burn. If I nail it and pop the clutch in 3rd or 4th rolling 30-40mph it will break the tire loose or pop depending on where I put my weight. If you wanted to do this regularly I would go chain final drive. Not sure the belt would hold up very long.
can't imagine a bigger motor like a fully build 126 or 131 pushing 160+ it would be almost unusable unless you are on a track...
sign me up and make me a winner!!!!! now all i need to do is sell my truck and i can get one. the problem would be getting the kids to daycare in the morning but with that no matter what the owners manual says i can put a side car on it. all in fun i bet that thing is the greatest to ride
Congrats. Sounds like you're going to have a blast riding the 120R. It's a different animal compared with your last build.
Also, I think a chain drive would be a good idea. I went with one when we did thew 117" a few years ago.
Does the 120R have compression releases?
