I have been very happy with Spectro Synthetic 75W140 in the trans. It really keeps the shifting noise down by keeping the clunks at bay. If your clutch is adjusted properly, the only clunk is into 1st gear.
i buy redline at cyclegear... looks like there is one in Knoxville, thats a nice 1 1/2 hour ride away from your location...
According to Redline's website there's a place that has it in Crossville too, which is halfway between here and Knoxville, they don't carry it anymore. Redlines site says that Advance AND Autozone carry it but I called the Advance and Autozone's here and they say they recently stopped carrying them... IT'S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YOU!!!

*SIGH* Now that I look at it, the chains can only get the basic stuff... shows right on their site, tis the power of observation... Guess I'll look into Mobil 1 products to find something locally...
In the midst of doing my 1k, already got the oil for the engine(Mobil 1 syn) but I am still looking for a good trans and primary fluid that isn't crap. I want Redline or Amsoil but would rather not have to order it as nobody locally carries either. Are there any others out there that are worth a flip? Thanks.
You have already arrived at the top. Search is over save for a vendor.

Yeah, it just sucks cause I would rather find it and go pick it up, guess I'm being spoiled! But NOBODY carries either of those marvelous lubs around here, *sigh* just have ta suck it up and order some, dern it...
I am, but I was hoping someone with experience would chime in with founded data that proved his response was backed. Know what I mean?
Yeah, I know what you mean: save you from doing the research and proper due diligence and making your own decision.
Edit to add that there are plenty of oil threads/discussions already started and ongoing in appropriate forum categories. Don't you think? Plenty of experience and data are already posted and readily available to anyone w/ enough gumption to search for it. And there are other riders who do the same thing you're doing: waiting til the last minute, when a fluid change is already due, to figure out what oil they want to use and what is available and where they're going to buy it... But does it require a personal thread for every individual rider?
