When you have to wear a helmet get one that actually fits as mentioned above and tighten the thing on your melon, same with glasses. It may take a few different pairs to find the right ones for your face.
you mean a few pairs of sunglasses that blow off going down the road

I wear my full face when it's cold or I'm going long and the skid lid around town and short. I love the freedom of the lid but, even though it's a pain, I like the warmth and coverage of the full cover at speed.

To each his/her own. Just what you like.

I've a HJC 3/4 with a face shield for long trips, my half hat for chugging about locally.

Occasionally I have to ride the freeway with the half hat, but never had any lifting problems. I wear a bandana under the half hat and it all fits just right.

Eyeball wise I have a pair of the John Doe riding goggles that you can remove the strap from and attach normal arms to. They came with a clear, dark tint and yellow lense that take less than a minute to change out. They are simply awesome eye wear.

Edit: one disadvantage of my half hat is that if i ever get caught out in the rain, water has a tendency to run off the helmet and straight down the back of my neck. Think it is just the shape of my particular skid lid though as I know others with different branded half hats who don't have this problem...

My hat is a no name brand cheap thing, the Voss Bullet Beanie has the water issue as well.

I have a Skull Crush beanie & I've never had an issue with it catching wind & it's the most comfortable lid I own. I also have a HJC 3/4 with a shield & it catches a lot of wind. With the Skull Crush beanie, it doesn't matter if I have my windshield on or off...still comfortable & no effect from the wind. If it's cold, I just wear a head wrap underneath it & it's all good.
Glasses...I've lost a few, but I usually wear cheap 3M safety glasses & have several pair so if they're lost I just get out another pair. I do wear Birdz goggles on longer trips or if it's really windy or cold. Also have a pair of the ugly goggles.

I get wind under sunglasses as well, plan on buying some goggles to try soon. Used to have a lid that blew back on my head because it fit too loose, no longer use it as riding sucked on the highway. Have a full face as well, but want to try a 3/4 with goggles and face wrap, think this will work the best. I have also heard that some lids with the little bill on the front catch the wind and pull back so you might want to stay away from these if you plan on riding more at highway speeds.

Yes hats off to riders who use skid lids at high speeds or any speed. Fitting correctly or not. Too much risk for me to look good.

Radians makes a good goggle/glasses combo with a wide field of view.
