Try Plasti dip. All you need to do is make sure chrome body is clean and free from any grease etc etc.
I intend just to mask off the rear light lense with masking tape before spraying.

I think I'm one of the 3 people on the planet who actually like the SB brake light. That being said, I would prefer a side mount license bracket with the brake light being incorporated into the turn signals (ala Forty Eight),

I had a painter do it with my battery band.

Painted mine flat black and it matches pretty well. Still don't like it,but its not as bad.

Get a side mount plate and tail light combo and be done with it all. Weld the holes closed and a quick paint job on the fender.

I painted mine black and I don't notice it that much. I get a lot of compliments on it. I painted the turn sigs also. It makes them blend in and not so noticeable.

I light sanded mine then primer and 2 coats of flat paint. They look awesome!
The service guys at harley were looking for the part# for them to order them for other people. I told them they where rattle can black. They didn't believe me. the said they looked stock.
