Hey guys........'N gals of course,
J
Just out of curiosity, most of us know fuel moto and their great, great customer service, but how many people have gone and saved themselfs the 80$ + the shipping cost and actually bought their PV elsewhere---- and how is that going?
Because i'm a little stuck here I can get a PV + some extra discs and screws for my supermeg shipped all the way to canada and still save like 50$.
let's not forget I have my penny pinching Scottish heritage that naggs me all the time when it comes to $
Well I did buy from fuelmoto but I know for my bike 06 wg there isnt any canned maps that are on the Pv that will work for it. Im sure with your bike there would be some though. I also emailed dynojet about a map for my bike ( it was the weekend and waiting for email from fuelmoto) and they said to all there maps were on the website and that ment 0 worked for my bike from the pre programmed ones. Myself I would spend the extra $80 bucks again if I had the choice to do over.
So I called and spoke to someone at dynojet and get this, the tek support person I spoke to told me ...
powervision involves the use O2 eliminators just like the pc-v--> wrong
Powervision does not come with basic autotune-->wrong
So I asked " that means if my stock O2 sensors are not in the pipes it's no use installing them until i spend and extra 420 for the autotune unit"?
He said yes that's right, you will then need your stock O2 sensors ---> wrong
So I asked "well at which point do the wide band O2 sensors come in" ?
He answered "duh.... what"?
The only thing he told me that was right was that I can use any pc-V map with the PV, which i already have. Thank you , very informative!
This is the tek i got after spending 30 minutes on hold! LOL

Dynojet customer service is worthless. It didn't take me long to figure that out.
Unfortunately I saved some money and got mine from Direct Harley parts. I wish i had gone with Fuel Moto BUT I have learned a TON about EFI tuning figuring it out myself. On the bright side, 418ish delivered is a hell of a deal.
Through various guides online about tuning and calibrating V/E tables, its really not difficult to do yourself. It would have been easier just to tell someone to send me a map, but having done the work myself and achieved the same goal I feel a greater sense of accomplishment and more bang for my buck so to speak. Also, I like to tinker.
Having said that, I don't have a lot of custom stuff on the engine, just pipes and an A/c. If you are going with cams/big bore I imagine the process would be much more complicated.
If you have hardware that matches the canned maps available with the PV and/or on the website then you are likely good to go after a bit of auto-tuning to tweak for your variations in the hardware and for your locale.
If you don't have matching hardware then either get the PV from Fuel Moto and ask them for a matching map and then do some auto-tuning or else get the bike on a dyno and make your own map.
