Default ordering power vision, order from fuelmoto?

gonna pull the trigger on it today for my 14 street glide. Have read many good things about fuelmoto on this site, would like to order from them but can find it for about $80 cheaper ($415) brand new on amazon or ebay. I know fuelmoto will pre-install a map according to your mods, but aren't there already pre-configured maps in the unit? Any reason i should definitely order through fuelmoto, or should i save the $80-85 and order elsewhere?

also, another question about the firmware. I know u don't need a computer to flash the ecu, but need one for updating firmware. I have a mac so i don't think it will work (can probably get access to one fairly easily though). Assuming the power vision should come with the latest firmware/software update so this shouldn't be a big issue anyway??

Most go through Fuel Moto because of the great service they provide. My opinion it's worth the extra dollars. But you yes you can go elsewhere like Amazon or Eastern Performance to get it.

kind of leaning that way, don't mind paying a bit extra for great customer service. Guess it would be nice to have that peace of mind feeling that if something does go wrong or not work correctly, i can get quick help to figure it out. Think i will just go through fuel moto, looks like they may provide a few accessories with the unit as well, maybe a mounting bracket? Not sure

wonder if they would still provide tech support if not purchased through them?

Are you going to use a local dyno shop for runs/tuning? If so, give them your support..

You can find local dealers/tuners on the Powervision site.

Fuel Moto is the way to go. Yes you pay a bit more, but they'll make sure you get what you paid for. It does come with a mounting bracket, and a visor, that makes it quick detachable. They also double the manufacturer's warranty, and will preload the correct map for your configuration.

In my opinion, the Fuel Moto maps are superior to the Dyno Jet maps. Most have been developed on a dyno in their shop, resulting in maps that require little change. Usually a few autotunes and you're good to go. Many are so impressed with the FM base map, that they go no further.

I'm a techie and like to tinker, so I took advantage of the PV's capabilities and autotuned. It made a very good map even better.

They provide lifetime tech and map support, and are very easy to deal with when/if you have technical issues.

If I were in the market for a Power Vision, I wouldn't consider any other seller but Fuel Moto. Apart from the positives mentioned above, bear in mind that Fuel Moto were intimately involved in the actual development of the Power Vision and no other tuner has more experience or knowledge of the unit. Free maps for life as you upgrade your bike is a great benefit too.

Fuel Moto is the way to go. For starters, the standard manufacturer's warranty is doubled on Dynojet products. In addition, you get great tech support and assistance with maps. I've read numerous posts from folks who got deals elsewhere on the Internet but couldn't get quality tech support. You won't have that problem if you buy from Fuel Moto.

Lastly, the Fuel Moto Value bundle is included at no additional cost consisting of an Articulating Handlebar Mount + Power Vision Visor. It's a nice extra and something you won't get buying off Ebay or Amazon.

Um.... no.

You get the blank unit, download your stock map, and then have the ability to build from there. It will get there, just not in an hour.

I could be wrong....

So, the extra 80 bucks you would pay is for customer service and tech support....

You want to not give them that 80 bucks, and still want their customer service and tech support???????
