Tank decal help
#11
Mine are vinyl without clear. I cut decals for tractor trailers and they last through repeated pressure washings, and all kinds of weather for years. If they are cleared you could buff the area and not worry about it lifting (my only complaint).
I personally want to change my decals occasionally, so I want them to be removable without any effect to the factory finish (heat them up with a hair dryer, peel right off).

I was looking for something to replace my once one of a kind White Star Pan Head Emblems with.
I did a search for tank decals and and found some out of pin, discontinued Flying/Winged Ball for $140.00 a set. Bought them and now they are sold out.
Check ebay as they have Tank decals starting around $30.00.
I have new paint as my tins got messed up....so I will be doing Black Demin, Decals and Eggshell Colorite clear over the top.
Looking for a new front Full FLH style fender but not having any luck.

I see 3 problems here.
1) FIVE year old thread arisen from the grave
2) SOFTAIL question in the DYNA forum (though not entirely relavant since it seems to be about an emblem)
3) double post
Post a new question in the softail forum. Maybe even the paint forum.
A decal is a paper or plastic based thin flexible stick-on that is usually clear coated over. An emblem or badge is a metal or plastic (or combination of both) device that is applied over the paint, usually with double side tape.
Good luck.
