Exclamation Dyna Wide for a first ride

I'm going to pick up my first bike tomorrow. It's a '98 Dyna Wide, I haven't been on a bike since I was 12, over 16 years ago. I plan on taking a MSC, but in the mean time I have to drive it home. Any suggestions you all might have would be really helpful.

Throttle on the right and clutch on the left. Easy on the turns. Make sure you pick up any tips on cold starting from the previous owner. My dad has a 97 Wide Glide and I would hate to be the guy trying to get it started to steal it, just has a little trick to it.

Take it easy on the first ride. The bike will feel a little strange at first, but let it show you how it feels and handles. Within a few rides it will feel like home. Congrats and be safe!

Thanks, trust me I already know the tricks to get a carbed engine going. The owner told me it was cold natured, so is my '86 Chevy with a motor you wouldn't believe. Prime it up, fire it up and let it warm up. I'm deffinatly looking forward to joining the HD family.

I'm kind of like you. I haven't rode in a long time, but my brothers and buddys all have bikes so i decided to finally pull the trigger and get my first Harley. Picked up a 2011 Wide Glide, and it has been awesome.

Good Luck!

Relax it will be like rideing a bike! Just like everyone else said take it a little easy at first and do watch your cornering, these harleys like to scrape in low turns!
