Default Move Up ?

You may find out it isn't a move up. Baggers are great on long trips but if your just doing short runs, a bagger can be a pain because it's heavy and doesn't handle as well.

Partially true... Baggers are heavier than Dynas. As for being a pain, I can't say I've felt that once with the RG. Handles great regardless of the length of ride. Still like throwing the Dyna around though.

Default Baggers

To be honest I would like to have a bagger in addition to my Dyna, but not instead of. In the last few years I've had some 12 hour days in the saddle and a bagger would have been a lot more comfortable for those long rides.
I will someday wind up with a bagger but not at the expense of my Dyna.

Great comments everyone. Thanks for them all. I agree, "moving on" is a better description. Don't get me wrong, I loved my Wide Glide. It served me well and I would have loved to keep it. Unfortunately, it was a necessary sacrificial lamb in order to get the SG. In the short time I've had the SG, it's been very enjoyable on short rides. No long rides yet. It's been very responsive on my normal back roads. The wider tires seem to really grab the road. I am very pleased so far.
