Any good boot will do. I know some guys ride in sneakers but man if you go down and if you ride for long enough you will, it can really do a number on your ankles. Any good construction boot will do.. wolverines, double h, harley (if you want the boots they are decent), etc. I just wear a pair of wolverines. I have a pair of serious riding boots for long hwy days and many miles ... aerostitch combat light boots. best boots I have ever had and they are rebuildable.

BTW congratulations on your new WG. Great choice for your first harley . Dont get suckered into thinking you need a bagger unless you just want one. I can cover just as many miles in comfort on my street bob and do.

I'll always preach Danner boots, but any good quality mid-height hiking boots make for good comfort, protection and ease of foot control use. I'm new to Harleys too, this 'Bob is my first. Sport bike guy for 15 years. Enjoying it too. Keep safe

Does your dad have only one leg or can you not afford to buy him a pair too and he has to make due with just one? (sorry, couldn't resist)

Great too see you joined us Casteel. Riding, looking at or just talking about your ride is the best way to spend your time.

Check out Red Wing boots. They have a bunch of different styles and are very comfortable. I wear boots from 5.11 Tactical. I am in Law Enforcement so they are the same boots I wear for work. They are light and have a nonmetallic kick toe.You can check them out to.

Congrats on the WG. Ride safe.

This made me laugh.

Make sure you don't tell anyone you're wearing deodorant, you'll really be screwed.

Default Love the bike

Nice bike man! As far as footwear goes, I ain't puttin no one down for wearing sneaks... but when it comes to HD, its ALL about image! lol I am only partially kidding. HD wear is expensive, so I only have a few pieces that have HD branding on it.

I am up here in Canada, and went to a biker shop(Stallion Boot and Jean Co. in Calgary, AB. Can.), and he has a HUGE selection of footwear, mostly HD. And he claimed he is/was the largest retailer of HD footwear. He informed me that HD is changing the way apparell is being distributed and sold (being more exclusive to the dealerships). Which he felt was a mistake... Too make a long story short (ya right) he recommended Milwaukee.. I never heard of them making footwear, only tools. But they been around long time, make quality gear, and stand by it.

I bought these and LOVE them! I paid a little more being here in Can. but still cheaper then the HD ones. I love the fact that they zip up from the back, because I wasn't a fan of the zipper up the ankle.

IMO, for the price, you got good leather footwear on your feet, and they look bada$$ on... and off the bike.

Good luck.
