Pulled the trigger on my first Harley!

My bike is in the middle, and the other 2 belong to my brother and our buddy. We went on a nice 4.5hr trip around town and some country roads and I had a blast. I haven't been on a bike in a long time, and I jumped head first back into it. I feel very comfortable on it, and the bike rides really well.
It currently has some V&H Slip-Ons installed, but I worked out a deal with the dealership to have the V&H Sideshots (Black), intake, & stage 1 mapping all done. So when the parts come in that will all be installed as well.
I have a question about footware for you guys: I'm not into the big bulky boots or care about brand name much either. I've currently just been riding in some shoes the past few days. I'd like to try to be safe though, and would like to get a pair of decent boots, and wanted some opinions/suggestions from you all. Just some comfortable, wear everyday boots.
I appreciate this forum and the wealth of knowledge on here, and look forward to being a member for a long long time.
thanks,
John
As far as footwear, your on your own, i wear boots or sneakers dont make no matter to me, mostly boots. just go find some comfortable boots if thats what you want. I will add that i got a pair of Harley boots as a gift, i threw my others aside for one reason and one reason only, they have laces, but they zip up the inside, extremely easy to put on and take off, i like that.
boots: the HD riddick is as comfortable as any footwear I have ever worn. its a lace up but also has a zipper on one side that makes for a quick off and on, also has a zipper vent (I have never bothered using). my favorite riding boot but not waterproof. they are made by wolverine.
