Welcome to the forum. Good luck. I'm interested to see where this thread goes. I know the 21" sporty front wheel will fit, but you have to change the bearings. Our axle is 1" and the sporty's is 3/4". I've read some threads where they put a Softail Deuce rear wheel on our bikes. Other's have used older fatboy rear rims. Seems they did this to make it hard to swap. My bike came with the optional spoke wheels. If you have the mags, they look great powder coated black.

The OP asked about a 2005 dyna, that should have the 3/4" axles also. HD didn't go larger on the Dyna line till 2006. Don't believe Softails whent to 1" axles till 2007.

Thanks, I'm worried my wallet is about to take a HUGE hit. I got a good deal on the bike ($6500) but the guy at the shop started throwing out crazy number for parts and labor. How does changing the bearings correct for the 1/4" difference in axle size? I'm about to dig up pics of em powder coated black...that could be an option
Also, just a gripe, but the finance guy told me Harley equipment was the best and aftermarket was junk? I'm new to Harley but been riding street 7 years and motocross since I was a kid....Aftermarket was always better.
I picked up cast wheels for my 07 Street Bob on eBay. Came with tires that had maybe 300 miles on them. Turned around and sold my laced spokes - one decent tire, one near slick - for about $100 less than I paid. So I figure I got two new tires, mounted and balanced, for $100.
One of the easiest ways to figure out what bikes your wheels will swap with is to check the fitment in the HD P&A catalog (or online).
