I bought the mount for my TomTom on ebay for 12 bucks delivered. It came directly from China as the crazy postage displayed. Works flawless, rock solid and is easy to install. I can pop the TomTom on and off in seconds for storage or safety.
I got one of these and mounted it to my tank console,,works great and for less than 20 bucks...looks nice when GPS not on it also,, same guy makes a windshield mount,, and nope I am not him nor do I have any affilation with him....
Yeah, it really is pretty sad but I almost wont walk to the crapper without a GPS. Days of fighting with paper maps are long behind me. I just hit the search button, find my destination and roll. No more stress, no hollering at the wife why we are lost, constant self correction features..... life really is better with these technological bastards. HA!
I wanted a temporary mount for my phone GPS so I could calibrate my speedo after sprocket/gearing changes. I bought this spider thingy for 12 bucks on Amazon...it holds phones and stuff;
I used cable ties to secure it to the steering head. This was a very temporary RubeGoldberg solution. Since then, I've found that I really like the gauges on my PowerVision, and these flexible "legs" allow easy on/off when I want to remove my tuner.
Mounted this one inch ball on the handlebar clamp with a counter-sunk screw:
RAM Mount RAM-B-337U Aluminum 0.25-20 Female Thread Hex on 1 inch diameter B-Ball
This puts my GPS right in line with my speedo. I liked it so much I added a piece of 2"x6" flat stock to mount both my GPS and PV. The power runs under the tank to the aux port under the seat.
