What are some cheap ways to securely mount a GPS unit onto a bike? I do not want to spend the money on something like a RAM mount. If anyone has some pics of how they have done it, that would be awesome.

I use it for droid phone toll pass and garage door opener its very roomy fits up too 1.25 bars.

I have one of those Kuryakin velcro on the handlebar models. It sucks, I never use it and if you want it I'll mail it to you for the cost of postage.
Also, I've tried mounting my Garmin other ways to the bike, like just using the windshield mount on the tank, or the inside of my windshield on the bike, and it vibrates so much it moves around on the ball mount and/or isn't readable. I gave up on the whole idea of it.
