Default GPS Mounts

What are some cheap ways to securely mount a GPS unit onto a bike? I do not want to spend the money on something like a RAM mount. If anyone has some pics of how they have done it, that would be awesome.

You could probably zip tie it to your bars somehow, but cheap & securely usually don't mix well.

I bought the ram mount w/the x-grip - can hold GPS or phone, works GREAT.

I mounted my Zumo 550 to the Küryakyn Universal Handlebar Accessory Mount for 1" Handlebars which fits all 1" handlebars. The P/N is 1421.

Can you mount the RAM in the middle of the handlebars between the risers?

I have the mount that mounts onto the clutch assembly, but they do make one that looks like a u-bolt.

I have one of those Kuryakin velcro on the handlebar models. It sucks, I never use it and if you want it I'll mail it to you for the cost of postage.

Also, I've tried mounting my Garmin other ways to the bike, like just using the windshield mount on the tank, or the inside of my windshield on the bike, and it vibrates so much it moves around on the ball mount and/or isn't readable. I gave up on the whole idea of it.
