I put some large pictures of the forks on my 01 FXDXT here: http://s237.photobucket.com/albums/f...ckspicsonline/
The pictures show the top, middle and bottom of the forks plus one of the mounting screws for the fairing.
Thanks to everyone for the comments, in particular p51bombay who is perfectly right, it is not a FXDXT... the vin code is GJ and not GL.
I do not care much about the 'T' since I will not find original saddle bags and fairing/windshield for a T-Sport anyway.
However, I am still somehow irritated with the fork and trees, my top, middle and bottom of the fork look exactly like the pics posted by FXDXT Sport and he owns a T Sport (see his pics). So, I wonder if a former owner has changed the standard fork with a T Sport fork but as someone mentioned, the trees on my bike do not look like T -Sport trees .... and my light is attached to the upper tree (pics attached, larger this time)
And what tree has this hole in the centre and what is the purpose of it?
Anyway, any idea if I can add a small fairing to this set-up? No need for windshield, just want to cover the wires ...
The fork lowers do have the compression dampening adjustment and are fxdx/fxdxt. No picture show the caps at the top of the fork though. Also, the triple trees for the FXDXT are special. They have the mounting holes for screws to attach the fairing.
Thanks, attached a pic of the top of the fork, looks like the one on the break down sent but let me ask you stupid question, which of the 2 ***** does adjust the front suspension 21 or 22?

Hi Rick, thanks for that, mine looks precisely like your fork but others say I have incorrect trees. Which pic shows the mounting srews for the fairing?
The vin code GL is a FXDX which has the same forks as a fxdxt except for the required mount for the saddle bags and fairing, but like you say who cares since these items are hard to find anyway.
Just get a Rifle quarter fairing. It will fit the bike as is. Mine is a FXDX and that is what I have.
not for nothing, but those trees look pretty sweet to m. The stockers are fugly, those are smooth and clean looking. maybe a Ness or Custom Cycle Engineering setup??. Also Brembos and wave rotors..thats a nice setup man, forget worrying if it's a t-sport or not, like you said without the o.e fairing and bags it's not worth fussing over.
Just picked up a set of the bagger brembo's for our FXDXT. I am told they will bolt right on but most likely have to be shimmed a bit to be centered on the rotor. We will find out one of these days when I actually have time to get to it. Obviously the bagger Brembo's use a larger rotor (11.8") as opposed to the 11.5" but I think we might just slap them on with the 11.5"'s and see how they work. Other plans in the works are intiminators, stiffer springs, thicker fork oil, etc in order to stiffen that front end up a bit. The stock springs are so soft that it drives me nuts.

I will highly interested in the brake conversion results.
I wonder about the fork mos. I put in heavier oil and adjusted everything. Its pretty stiff.
What do the intiminators due?. Dual rate fork springs would be nice...
