Servicing my own bike.
Good luck, remember not to use the green handle at the gas station.

I know where you are coming from, sometimes when its a simple task a lot of the times the questions get looked over by the more experienced riders, There are a lot of oil and oil change threads that get started by new guys, you might try to use the search tool at the top, but in any case it's a pretty simple project.
1. Check your dipstick while cold to see where the oil levels (Engine and tranny) should be when cold, usually half way or a little less. (so you don't over fill when putting oil back in)
2. Start the bike up and let it get up to Normal operating temp. Shut it off check and note the oil levels on the dip sticks
3. check the manual and find out where your drain plugs are
4. remove the drain plugs and drain the oil
5. inspect the rubber O rings around the plug and look at the little magnet to see if there are metal filings on the magnet, if so clean them off and if it has a lot you may need to have someone check your bike out. If the O rings are worn replace them you can get a kit with 3 O rings and a primary cover gasket from your local "Stealer" for a few bucks
6. replace the drain plugs with fresh O rings if needed
7. Get a piece of cardboard or old Soda bottle and place it under the oil filter to direct the leaking oil into your drain pan. proceed to removing the old filter
8. fill the new filter with some fresh oil, doesn't have to be full just put some in it to wet the filter do you don't damage it on first start up
9. Fill the Engine oil back up, Don't put 3 quarts in like some manuals say, start with 1 3/4 to 2 quarts then check to see where it is reading on the dipstick, you want it to be halfway or slightly less on the dipstick while cold, if you do more than that your gonna be overfull when its warm and will leak oil in places its not supposed to go.
10. remove the primary cover, with a torque wrench to make sure you can tighten it back up to the same specifications when putting back on, or you can use a drill with a torx bit (it's what I do) I usually start on a low setting like 10 then crank the strength up until I get the bolts out (usually 22 on my Porter cable portable drill) that way when I put the cover back on I get the bolts tightened close to where they were when I took it off.
11. inspect the primary gasket, replace if it is worn or doesn't stay in place.
12. Fill the primary back up with oil, you can use 20w/50 or one of the various other oils that are specifically made for primarys like Redline, spectro, amsoil etc I just use formula + if I have it or 20w 50 mobil 1 if I don't. I also use a fill tube bought from walmart (like $4) that screws on to the top of the bottle so I don't spill it all over my bike trying to pour in the primary oil.
13. replace the primary cover with new gasket if needed and screw back on with the settings you used to take it off, with torque wrench or drill
14. refill the tranny with fluid preferably with a gear oil of some sort, (I use Mobil 1 75/140 or 75w/90 but you can use 20w50 or any of the other specific gear oils like amsoil spectro redline etc everyone has their own special opinion on this, but this usually takes a quart as well (just fill it back up like it was previously unless you had a leak before it should be about right)
15. clean up, take her/him for a ride, put back in the garage and check the fluid levels to ensure your not overfull. And your done.
Ps. it may not be the exact way some do their service but it has served me well. oh and whats that old saying? "sugar attracts more flies than vinegar" or some sh## anyways just play nice with others and your bound to get a good response from the forum, if your post isn't getting recognized bump it up so others can have the opportunity to see it and be helpful.
Good Luck and safe riding
Took all of 2 minutes to search youtube and come up with over a dozen videos as well as searching this forum and the general tech forums here to find what you are looking for.
I must say, you guys made me spit my coffee all over my keyboard. It was so bad I had to replace it.
There are quite a few knowledgeable guys and gals on this site that are more than willing to take the time and share their knowledge with you.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have helped me!
I would first suggest you familiarize yourself with this forum and the search tools that are provided.
80% of what you are looking for has been posted, the other 20% will be...Some day.
I appreciate all the input. Real big f***ing help. Is there anyone this forum that does their own work or is everybody a bunch of pansies that pay top $$$ to have some one else do it for them?
