i own and have owned this bike since oct 2010, bought from a small dealer hear close to the house that deals quite a few bikes, no junk..... supposed to have been bone *** stock and it had 2100 miles on it.. from there in my shop it recieved a set fo vance n hines staggered short shots and a screaming eagle open element k&n filter and a v&h fuelpak then put a set of nightrider xieds, then the rest is all cosmetic... seat, sissy bars and xl sporty risers and brag bars with a very little chrome>>> now my question(s) 1 the pipes has standard baffles but the sound AWESOME hits super hard like no other i heard on a 96' motor>>>>> 2.. its super torqey i mean jerk your hands off the bars torqey and it will slide you up the seat on acceleration... my best friend has a 2012 streetglide and i can just smoke his *** ive let two people ride it both are 20+ years experienced riders and they think its just super fast.. and the dealer where it was bought new said nothing has been done to it oh yeah its a 2008 superglide??? the one in my pics.......... question is how can you tell if the motor has been gone into?? gaskets look factory no evidence its been into so what makes it so fast and quick itll wiggle th eback tire thru 3 gears like a street bike

Put a passenger on your bike to even out the weight then come back here to report who smoked who.

My 1999 FXDX,bone stock,K&N,Screaming Eagle slip-ons. Also, breaks the tire loose in the first 3 gears. Not that big a deal. First three gears fairly close, low gear ratios. I lean forward to keep the front end down, thus taking weight off of rear tire, when I feel like impressing a cager or two at a green light. 88 incher........

Coupla thunks...

Might have had the gearing altered with a difference size front sprocket. Fairly common mod for those who like more go off the line and aint too bothered about the top end.

Short shots make a mad amount of noise and when you have exhausts that loud it does tend to make you feel like you are going a lot quicker than you are.

1- you are running both the fuelpak AND xieds? Usually it's one or the other.

2-Unless you have x-ray vision you'd have to open the motor to figure out if anything has been done since the dealer doesn't know.

A dyna racing a bagger and you're surprised you beat him? 650lbs vs 800lbs+.

Also, "oh yeah its a 2008 superglide??? "....are you asking us what model dyna you own?
