Welcome back from TDY. I'm curious to see how the set up works with the new springs. I'm glad you got a chance to ride it with stock springs for comparison. Where did you get the .96 kg value, is that the firm sector, soft sector or an average?
I was going to order shocks from him but he didn't respond to emails. I prefer to use email and in my opinion it's a valid business contact. I got works 12.6 steel trackers. I'm happy with the shocks and they responded to Inquiries. I can't wait to get home and get it back together.
Ryderbike, I've had over a hundred conversations with Howard on shocks, drop in cartridges, dual brakes and other topics- phone and e-mail- and never once has he not returned a call or been 110% helpful. I have the utmost respect for his work and want to balance out what your experience might have been. Sorry to the original poster for sidetracking the post. Jay
I wasn't trying to knock his product. There are a bunch of threads on how happy people are with his stuff. I was interested in running his stuff. I didn't get a response from him so I went somewhere else. I don't regret it and I'm sure one guy who said he didn't respond to an email isn't hurting his business.
1.1 kg single rate from Traxxion Shocks. They are the only company I found that made a true single rate for the 49mm forks.
I've run the INTIMINATORS with both the works triple rate and the racetech springs on my 06 Dyna with great results. If you still have your works put them in with and take it for a spin. I bet you will like it.

1.1 seems pretty high for your Dyna.

Do the Works perform better than the stock springs? I had purchased a set of Progressives before I bought the intiminators from you and based on your suggestions, I stuck with the oem springs, oil level (10wt Amsoil) and cut down the oem spacers to account for the added preload Just curious if the works springs would be an improvement.
The stock springs and intimidators are better than the works by themselves. I weigh 220lbs buck neked. 1.1 is what I got from te RaceTech calculator and from the Traxxion rep I spoke with.
Ryderbiker. I was going to install my intiminators with the oem springs until I started reading fabrik8r's posts on modifying them. Now I'm looking to get some single rate springs to compliment them before I install. I have the 49mm forks as well and am in the same weight class. Currently running stock front end with 20wt fork oil and tired of gettin my @ss kicked every time I hit a pothole.
How is this set up working out??
