Default 39mm to 49mm front end swap?

I know it's been talked about, but does anyone have a complete parts list for a 39mm narrow glide ('03 FXDL) to 49mm mid glide (possibly '06 FXDBI style) front end swap?

Just posted these in another thread, but here's the bike I'm thinking about doing the swap on. Any thoughts?

I just did this swap last winter. I scored a really nice 06' sb forks and trees off Ebay for 450$, then I took them apart and got them powdered black. I got the mid glide wheel and fender from members on here and the wide glide headlight of of Ebay as well. You have to make a notch in the stem with a Dremmel so you can still use the lock in the neck of the frame. I had to move my gas tank back about 1/4"because the trees were hitting the tank. Then you have to lose our relocate the indicator/idiot lights. I put mine in the dash panel. Be sure and replace the bearings and races too.

Thanks for the link, that helps a lot.

Looks like your bike turned out awesome! It's nice to see before and after pics.

What did it take to move the tank back that 1/4"? Also, any idea of how or if it's possible to use the original fender? Some spacers maybe? It would probably be a pain to have a fender repainted to match the 100th anniversary paint with the stripes on it.

On the '06-later 49mm lower sliders, the bolt pattern for the fenders is vertical vice the horizontal pattern for the '05-earlier fenders ... you would need to get or make a kind of 'L' or '7' shaped adapter in addition to spacers in order to be able to reuse the fender ...

Thanks, I wasn't sure of the difference. That probably wouldn't be that difficult. I should have looked at this stuff while I still had my Street Bob.

Thanks, I like the look of the mid glide forks a hell of alot more. I just bored out the holes in the tank mounts to get it to move back. Not sure about the fender.
