2010 Wide Glide Starting Problem
Guys,
I'd appreciate some help with an intermittent starting problem I'm having with my 2010 Wide Glide.
A couple of times recently when I have tried to start the bike from cold it has turned over fine but not started first time. It then floods and can't be restarted for a while. When I try to start it again it eventually starts, but only with some throttle to and when it fires up it is only on one cylinder before eventually firing on both. I should point out that the engine light doesn't come on so it doesn't seem to be registering a fault. It's only done this a couple of times recently, the rest of the time it starts perfectly normally. Can you tell me where I should start looking?

Had trouble with one of the two relays on mine. Can't remember which one. Swapped them both out, fixed it for me. I'd be looking for a bad electrical connection somewhere, or a bad earth. I sympathise, as it's a nuisance if it doesn't do it all the time.

Thanks Tim, I'll give that a try at the weekend. Might also try changing the plugs while I'm at it.

hi blackhawk,
i encountered this today and yesterday, on the first start each day it would tick over but wouldnt fire unless i gave it throttle,
then throughout the day it would start fine
any recomendations

same here, they were a little corroded so swapped them out --cheap fix, but then my ocd kicked in and purchased a new battery too -- no problems since
