So what'll the next challenge be fellas? I've been living vicariously through you guys and this thread since it started and now you're just leaving me hanging? What's it going to be Senior Chief?
To be honest, I don't think the challenge should change at all! All of us should be willing to get out there and meet those that have put their lives on the line so that we can have the freedom to even do a challenge like this. I must say that I hate that my local VFW chapter doesn't have any WWII vets left, or I would have gladly spent my entire day listening to stories. Chief, my glass is raised to you! Awesome challenge!

It has nothing to do with being willing to get out there and meet and talk with vets.
This reminds me of a good friend of mine who received the CMH in Nam, he honored me by giving me a copy of his commendation, his only request was that I not use it for anything other than remembering that there are those out there willing to go above and beyond in service of their brothers and country.
He made this request because someone else had asked for his autograph only to sell it for profit.
Honor their service, don't use it for personal gain.

i just dont want the thread to die, we were doing like 2-3 challanges a day and having tons of fun ....then it dead headded with this one, if my great granpa was still alive i would surely do it but he is not.

I agree but we should give it a few days before we call for a new one. Today is memorial day so there will be Vets at events and there are many on here who have served that may know a WWII survivor. I would imagine there would be opportunity for someone to meet the challenge.
Im not sure if there is a lot of buffalo just floating around Indian reservations plus if the challenge gets changed it will be the challenger that submitted the previous challenge .
There is two different Indian reservations around here that both raise buffalo so that's why I thought about it.. Just trying to save the thread...
This waiting for approval
Stuff is lame though.. Keep the thread moving.
All right guys, I understand some are hung up on meeting a Vet to "win" a challenge. I assure you that was never my intent, for you to feel like you were doing this to "win" something. After my initial hot headed response (gotta love Chief's!) I can understand where some of you are coming from, although I dont feel that way at all. So to push past this and get on with it, I recant my last challenge and propose this as a new challenge: take a pic of your bike next to an aircraft! It can be anything from a cessna, to a jet liner, to a fighter jet! One caveat, that aircraft has to be in "working" order, that means no museum aircraft, or aircraft that are merely there for display purposes! "Thank you to all who have gone before me to defend freedom and democracy around the world!"
