a warship? really? closest warship to me that i know of is the U-boat at the museum of science and industry in chi town lol

Well here she is, USS Alabama!!! Keeping with the spirit of Memorial Day weekend, I think the next challange should be of a WWII Vet standing next to your bike (or sitting on it if you are willing)! Of course the Vet needs to have on his cover with all his pins affixed.

I've been deep down in the belly of that slab of concrete! Have a friend that worked there so we got the tour of the powerhouse top to bottom. It was very cool to see it, was even able to watch the rotor shaft spinning and leaking water.

Thanks, I am glad they came out ok, I am a crappy photographer. Nice little ride from Pensacola to Mobile to get those pics.

It is an impressive slab... Was your pic of the Dalles or part of Gran Coulee??

Memorial day is for honoring those who have fallen, veterans day is for vets. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't feel right asking a WWII vet to pose for a pic for a challenge. It's the thought that counts though. I'm thankful for all of them.
