It was coming over the entire length of the dam, I will say it don't count according to the original challenge of a waterfall. So don't think my feeling will be hurt if it ain't up to snuff.

I say it counts, and the new challenge is good motivation for me to take my bike farther from home than I have yet. Battle Ship Texas is an hour and a half from my house.

Waterfall noun
1.*a steep fall or flow of water in a watercourse from a height, as over a precipice; cascade.

I'd say a dam is a waterfall by definition and the challenger already accepted it so on to the next one.
