We have one about 15 miles from me that has a "witches grave" in it.
The story goes that an old woman over 100 years ago was accused of being a witch, shortly thereafter her body was found floating in a nearby river. She was buried in the village cemetery and an iron fence was installed around her grave. (you know gotta keep those evil spirits caged). A giant Oak tree grew out of her grave, in fact I think it's 2 trees that grew together, the tree actually grew in the fence so now the fence is part of the tree.
I'll see if I can make it by there tomorrow for some pics, even if someone gets the challenge first it's really cool to see. A cemetery with a back story is fun to visit.
Crap......there is a cemetery within 2 miles of my house. maybe I can trick the neighbors into watching my kids for a few minutes while I run out there.
Btw, I'll be watching for the "double oak in the iron fence" pic, that sound pretty cool.
How about this, mojo? If accepted, next challenge, your Dyna in front of a Vet's office, large or small animal both ok. One catch, needs to be in a town not your own. Honor system here. Glasses, helmet, dorag or something on the seat... tomp dd50

thats a really cool story!! A picture would be nice to! Even though the challenge was won ...
I'm going on a benefit ride today and I'm making a side trip on the way home to get the pic. I'll post it when I get back this evening. Nice work on the cemetery pic, love the iron gate!

Waiting to see it this PM. BTW, there was an Historical Site plaque just outside the picture's frame. This is an old burial spot.
