Easy Tigerboy, I just got home from the run.
I give you Blanchard Dam on the mighty Mississippi not far from it's headwaters here in Minnesota.



I had to sneak in on an old Sooline rail bridge that's been made into a pedestrian/bicycle path to get this photo. If the google link works I'm on the far left of the bridge just above the water.

A little history, the reservoir/lake behind the dam is named Zebulon Pike Lake,, as in Pikes Peak-Colorado, Zebulon Pike.
Everyone knows about Lewis and Clark's Corps of Discovery expedition in 1803 looking for a waterway to the west coast,, what they don't know is they where looking for the source of the Mississippi too. So in 1805 they sent Lieutenant Zebulon Pike up here,, he did not find the source.

So, today in history (learned form someone else) Rudolf Diesel the inventor of the engine that bears his name,, disappeared!
Let's see your bike in-front of a Diesel sales, service or repair shop sign,, but the sign has to say Diesel on it someplace,, not just a name brand like Mack, Volkswagen or Cummins,, but an actual shop that uses with a Capitol "D" the name Diesel.

 

Not for a challenge, just thought I would share this since it did take awhile to manage to make it possible.
