A little history, the reservoir/lake behind the dam is named Zebulon Pike Lake,, as in Pikes Peak-Colorado, Zebulon Pike.
Everyone knows about Lewis and Clark's Corps of Discovery expedition in 1803 looking for a waterway to the west coast,, what they don't know is they where looking for the source of the Mississippi too. So in 1805 they sent Lieutenant Zebulon Pike up here,, he did not find the source. Next Challange
