Quote: That's Mud's Mud-sickle in the background, but im not sure what that thing is in the foreground....looks old none-the-less. If thats '65 or older, whats the challenge?

History Lesson:

If original the Pan would be a '48. First year Pan and last year springer. Hydra Glide would come in '49. Duo Glide (shocks in back) in '58.

if original?? you are joking. right?

far from original.

history lesson in a nutshell.......

my friend Brett has owned this machine since 1983.

he says 300 thousand miles

was a mexican police bike up until 1983

has been to Sturgis and back from South Texas nine times.

Pan lower 1950, shovel top.

at one time a bad *** and real clean Chopper

base gaskets started leaking and now it is a Rat. a Real Rat.

he does have 4 or 5 other machines.

this one will roll - whenever and wherever.

No joke, but I wasn't slingin' mud at you Mud. That's why I stated "If" original. I didn't want the youngsters believing that a '53 Pan came with a springer. One of my long time ridin' partners has a Pan/Shovel in a Knuck frame with springer.
Thanks for the extra info and pics of the bike. It's a history lesson in itself.

yessir. I get what you're saying. I think it's titled as 1952

or whatever, that machine has got parts on it from God only knows what years.

I was really expecting to see a Dennys sign in here by now.

I kinda doubt he's even considering offers ack.

would be nice though.

if I wake up in the morning, and I do mean that literally,

and I do not see a Dennys sign here,

I certainly will roll 5 blocks up the road

and have a pancake stack and 3 egg breakfast.

extra butter and another syrup. Please.
