I sent Ackman1986 (in a PM) my thoughts on how the rules for this should be cleared up and maybe tweaked a little make things run smoother and be more fun. Here is what I sent him. (this rules are not official unless Ackman1986 approves them). I did this in hopes that maybe he would clear up the rules of this thread or start a new one that works better.
DYNA CHALLENGE GAME RULES (UNOFFICIAL) 1.Post a pic of what was challenged by the previous requester. If you question your pic meeting the challenge, DONT POST IT, because thats what will kill this thread. Be 100% sure it meets the request. 2.After you post your pic that meets the current challenge, make your new challenge request and put in details if you want, just dont make it so hard that a pic wont get posted at all, that too will kill this thread. 3.Your pic must have been taken within the last 5 days. I know some people do a lot of traveling and might have got a cool shot of their bike while out last weekend, so lets make use of them. If you do have an older pic that is cool and is like the challenge at hand, post it with a header at the top of the post saying it doesnt meet the challenge and why, something like Old pic and doesnt meet the challenge, I just thought I would share it the reaffirm what the current challenge is. 4.If you happen to be out getting a shot for the most current challenge and come back to find out that the challenge has already been met, post your pic anyways (after all we want to see the cool pics). Just note in the post that the challenge that your pic meets has already been met and reaffirm what the current/new challenge is. 5.If a challenge isnt met within 48hrs of the request, anyone can offer up a new challenge. We got to keep this going. Just quote the last challenge when making the new challenge and state that the 48hrs has elapsed, this way people will know why, when and by whom the challenge was change.
This does capture the spirit of the game, the idea is to get people out on their bikes and covering some miles. If you were to go to the Sporty section you'll see they have the same issues and have been told by people who have seen similar challenges on other forums it happens there too. I don't think my word should be final but most would agree that your proposed rules are fair and acceptable. You have my blessings my son!
BTW......although I still have it for now, I have purchased a Street Glide at the request of my wife. I'll be selling the Bastard Glide so I'll not be eligible for the games in the near future so someone else will have to own this thread if you all feel it's necessary.
Do not understand everyone getting their 'panties in a bunch' over the rules ... it is what it is ... go with the flow or beat feet ...
Hey Chop,
I was simply trying to help get this thread moving and more enjoyable, because it is a great idea and its great to see other peoples adventures. I would hate to see it die do to to much questioning if a photo work or don't work or because people aren't sitting on the edge of the seat waiting to approve someone elses pic.
With Ackman out of the group and not in control of this thread anymore (per his words), he has said that the rules I came up with look good, so if people want to use them they can, if not thats fine too, its all in good fun.
