Default Sissy bar mount idea needed

Ok, looks like I've painted myself into a corner...again! I installed the Cavalry Fiberglass bags on my Fat Bob and they look great. The problem is they use the forward mount bolt (just behind the shock) and the Turn signal bolt. This combined with my new Saddlemen Exployer seat (very comfy BTW) which is longer and wider for the passenger makes my removable sissy bar mount not useable. I looks like I will need side mount plates that will mount the sissy bar to the Tail light mount possition and the middle bolt. Does anyone know of a already available set of mounting plates that would fit this area that will also fit the Medium Low Upright P/N 52300050?
I would fabricate up my own but right now we have a full plate of fabrication projects that take priority going on at our garage so time for this is at a premium.
I am hoping the FLD will fit (since it appears the sissy bar on the Switchback is further back than the other Dynas) so if someone has the measurements from the rear mounting point to the front mounting point on the the FLD I would appreceate it.

Maybe a Haulin *** backrest would work for you?

Pretty pricey at $250:

Looked at both prior to the Kuryakyn design we tried and sadly due to the angles of the FXDF rear fender and where the sissy bar needs to be neither of the 3 would work. My son looked at the seat this morning and fund that it may be possible to move the seat up .75" by remaking the rear mount tab longer and shoving the seat forward to the extreme. Then he will make filler tabs for the removeable sissy bar mounting plates I now have converting it to a fixed mount and moving it back about .5". These changes will or should give us enough to clear the Saddlemen seat. In addition converting the mounting plates to perminant will eleminate the clearence issue we have with the bags by eleminating the locking tabs. I will also pick up some additional spacers to move the bags out another .125"-.375" to allow for clearence for the mount. When he gets to a stopping point on today's fabrication job on our off road rail he will make up templates and try these out.
Gee I hope this is just a minor stumble because I really don't have too much free time to fabricate up an entire new set of mounting plates. LOL!

I am not really understanding why you can't use the HD mounts? Pics may help me understand.

I had to go from the removeable backrest to a permanent mount when I put my Corbin bags on...my girl doesn't actually lean against the backrest so i opted for the short one.

Well I stopped by the local HD dealer and spoke with the parts guy. He was fimiliar with my seat and the issue with the sissy bar. He recommended 2 things, first space the bags out from the side frame using the forward sissy bar mount in side the bag mount then add a larger spacer to the rear. Next he suggested try lowering the bags a tiny bit. He also agreed to try to move the seat forward and suggested I try the stock seat rear tab which I did but it was too long so back to the fabricating a new one. I traced a template using the one that came with the Saddlemen seat and added .625" to the end. I then cut a new peice of 3/16" steel plate. Then using that mount as a guide I went to my son's bender and formed the new rear mount I drilled the new holes and tried it out.
Problem solved!
That's the good news the bad news is the sissybar is no longer removeable, oh well. Like they say, happy wife, happy life!
Took my new rear mount and painted it gloss black and added a HD kurled thumb seat bolt.
I will shoot some photos and post them tommarrow.

Well I think you mean Road Glide, yep sorta worked out that way. I never planned for it. Started with trying to find a dual headlight fairing that fit a Fat Bob but not a Bat Wing and next thing you know this is where it ended up. I installed the stereo well because I needed to fill the opening in the Road Glide fairing.
I really love the way the Fat Bob rides and handles but I gotta admit other than the size it sort of has morfed into a mini Road Glide.
I get a ton of compliments every place I go with it. A lot of Harley riders look at it and really like it.
ME it just puts a smile on my face, which is the second most favorite thing I like there! LOL!
