Need FINAL clarification on fork fluid in 49mm

the fork measurement is per leg. It sounds like a lot but the 49mm front end has more fluid than previous FXD's. (with 39 mm front end). Im not sure how accurate the measurement has to be. My independent mechanic put 26 in each leg because he ran out of fluid and the front end handles like its on rails . The manual is correct on how much to use. The dealer that told you no way is full of it.
