Trouble with Stator install
I'm installing my first Stator/regulator/etc. Upon taking off old stator and putting on the new stator the fit of the new stator is significantly more snug than the old. I could not actually put on the new stator with my hands and would have to use a soft hammer to get it all the way on. It looks and the dimensions are the same as the old stator. I just wanted to confirm before I put something on that I can't get off easily that this is common when installing a new stator.

Did you check the rotor after you put the stator on to ensure that it will turn freely and that there is no binding, rubbing, etc.?
What year is your bike and what is the p/n for the new stator that you are using?
