Freaking out!
09 fxdc left side erratic slapping,gettin louder. Use to hear a little uniformed ticking. Especially with windshield on. Now loose erratic slapping. Especially for example. 3rd gear 40 mph barely on the throttle. What the f:@*k!!

Could be your cam chain. Tensioners, bearings, and rollers have some history of failure in the newer TC engines. You're hearing it more with the windshield because of reduced wind noise is my guess. Get it to your dealer or indie ASAP is my advice before it gets worse. Should not be too late...yet. Worth a check either way.
