They make a tombstone tailight that is wider to fit the new bikes....I saw it in the Jireh Cycles book a while back...could probably look online at J&P Cycles, Dennis Kirk etc. for it!

Pretty cool man...got 2 deuces and aStreet Bob...[8D]

RE: Tomstone Taillight source

Good morning phreak & Joe -

Just perusing the J&P Catalog over my morning coffee and found what looks to be the identical OEM style Tombstone tailight to what I put on, and comes with top mounted plate bracket built-in (it's not the wide housing one w/adaptor for a Fatboy fender also listed, which to me looks a bit out of proportion and costs a lot more) - page 360 of their big '07 Harley Catalog Part #3400085 (OEM 68003-47T) for $30. Also listed in BLACK (!) for $54 part #340-192 but no pic. Doesn't have the blue dot (which may not be legal in all states, anyway). But a separate plastic lens w/a blue dot for it is on page 367 and goes for $9 part #3400422 for '45-'54 model years. Slappin' in a blue dot is easy and cheap, in any case, and available at any hot rod or cycle swap meet.

Or, just do a search for 'tombstone' on their website - it came right up for me.

Hope this helps. Also, I saw J&P had them listed with LEDs, but frankly mine seems bright enough with the standard bulb. I love the look and (IMHO) was well worth the hassle wiring it up and punching the extra mounting hole in the fender.

Good hunting!

Joe - yup! My buddies said I should get a Sotftail Deuce to match up with the hot rods, but .... just not my style! This old body needs a real suspension and I want my bike to handle! Tend also to prefer the more upright seating on the Dyna Bob plus it comes in primer (well, denim black). Hope that doesn't offend any of you softtail fans, they do look nice, though!

Chip
