Default Burly slammer or apes?

So i have decided i either wanna lower my 2012 wide glide 1.5 inches or go with apes. I'm 6' tall so the stock bars just seem a little low to me. And what kinda drop would you guys reccomend? This is my first harley so im kinda figuring things out as i go.

12-14" apes are perfect. I'm 6' and wanted to stop leaning forward with the stock bars so I went with 12" apes

Depends on cash, you can go fairly cheap on shocks but new bars, cables and wires are going to be a bit more, and alot more if you don't do it yourself. But in the end you willl end up doing both so at this moment in time I would say apes first because they will give you the most benefit with your height.
