Default no cluth

need some help....

I took off my primary along with clutch and compensator to return my 2010 streetbob back to mid controls. everything seemed to go fine until i got it all buttoned up went to go start the bike and i had no clutch!

no clutch in the sense that the lever has no resistance on it, i tried adjusting the cable with no avail. i didnt take the clutch appart, just the locknut, adjuster screw, retaining ring and release plate to get to the mainshaft nut. could it be the adjuster screw inside the primary on the face of the clutch? not sure how to adjust that

no sure where to go from here.... any help would be greatly appreciated!

as stated, start at the basket but be sure you let out the cable adjuster first. i have seen that create issues with the final adjustment... let out cable adjust, back out jam nut, turn out screw then screw in till you feel tension (little pressure) then back it out a 1/4-1/2 turn, lock in that jam nut, adjust cable till you can fit a dime in the free plan and try that... if that does not do it you may have forgot to add the snap ring on the clutch basket and the outter primary would have to be pulled again, go slow so you can save that gasket, may want to use some RTV gasket maker on any areas that look thin if you pull the gasket off and it peels up a bit.

thanks man, you and ghostrider had me looking in the right direction. turns out the threads on the release plate (what the clutch push rod threads into) lost its threads. not sure if i cross threaded it or over tightened it but i got a new release plate and all is well with my bike!

thanks guys
