Default Anyone heat wrap thunderheaders?

I was looking into heat wrapping my black thunderheaders but after A little research I keep hearing about the pipes eventually cracking from excessive heat, has anyone done this and not had this problem?

Wrapped mine, no cracks, however it is possible. The only complain I have is having to paint the wrap every few months, the black fades very quickly.

I've seen lots of wrapped ones break. either front or rear pipe 6-8in from the heads or at the 2-1 collector joint. It's very thinwalled and too much heat is no good for that material..plus it looks retarded imho

I put about 3000 miles on my wrapped Th without issue. I ended up taking it off and getting rid of the wrap anyways. I scraped my pipe the first week I had it wrapped, effectively ruining my neat, time consuming wrap job.
