Custom Windshield/Faring project
So some times Im tired of being battered by the wind on my 04 FXDLI, but Im not really a fan of the normal windshield look therefore I just picked up this 02 ultra classic outer batwing faring that I am going to trim it up, and make a custom detachable mount for it so I can put it on and off quickly. The plan is once the framework is finished later Ill customize it further on the inside to have speakers and an MP3 input.
Right now the plan is to cut out the headlight trim area so its nice clean and smooth. Then to start the mounting framework with some 1/2" square tubing, to a set of newer stock Harley quick release windshield clamps 2 of the 4 will be locking ones.
I will update this thread periodically with pictures and descriptions
of the work involved.
