Short shots ?
Short shots ?
I just put a pair of short shots on my 07 FXDC I was wondering what kind of millage to expect and what hp will improve too if any ? I have a K&N free flow air filter and a PC III !

5 or 6 horse +the same for torque, torque may suffer a bit because of the short shots. Mileage wise, when you first get out your gonna want to feel those ponies and hear those puppies barking, your mileage will go down noticeably at that time. when youve heard enough you will calm down (maybe) and if you do then your mileage will miraculously come back up!

So he'll see a 5-6 tq gain and in the same sentence his tq may suffer.
Fact: You wont see any noticeable gain on either. In fact you may even feel a loss. But it will be making more noise so at least you'll think it's faster!

OP- i bought my 08 fxdf with short shots on it and A/C. I get about 43mpg average now (after un-effing the previous owners PCIII disaster).
To be honest, not impressed with the power, but I do like the sound (loud as hell). I'll be going to a pro pipe eventually. they sure do look sweet.
