I'm thinking I want to get either the V & H Big Shots or Short Shots. I actually like the look of the Short Shots better, and they're cheaper. However, a friend of mine said he heard something about the short ones not being any good. Anyone else heard anything, or have any opinion on which is better?? Why?? Is there a sound difference?? I currently have the SE2's on mine, not the new ones, and there's just something off about the sound. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
I hope they are good I just found a killer deal (i think) on eastern performance. I considered both and prefered the short shots for my bike. I have seen th e big shots i person ( a buddy of mine has'em on his softtail) and they sound friggin awesome. I have heard the short shots are loud and that's what I want.
The Short shots do not have a crossover between the pipes to allow scavenging. The big shots do. This was the reason I chose the BSS over the Short shots. I think they look awesome and they are quite loud enough. I have set off several car alarms.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I have the Big Shots ' Staggered" on the bob. I like'em, they set off car alarms but that wasnt my intention just a thing I discovered one day...........they sound tuned and performance was inhanced somewhat, 74.71 hp and 76.29 torque, a slight increase over stock. I WASNT impressed with the Vance and hines fuel pack tho.............on my second one now and it sometimes stutters in 2nd and pops somewhat......................
Yes and there are ALOT of choices out there. I would look at/consider ALL of them, regardless of price. Even if you have to save up for what you want, in the end it will have been worth the wait. I have the Big Shots Staggered. They're ok, but I'm not in love with them...

for what it's worth - I vote the same as both of you. The BSS look great - but I don't love em. Wanted the Rinehart 2-1 flush - but $828 - damn! Got a great deal on the BSS. Just left a message for my indy guy to get me the quiet baffles on Monday - hopefully that is closer to what I'm looking for.
