I bought a bike but the seller cant find the tuner. Now what?
Its a 2012 Fat Bob, V and H BR, Stage 1.
It was tuned at sea level, and I am 4000' up.
Also the O2 sensors are not connected.

 

If he can't find it you will have to buy another one from Harley. The SE tuner is about $350.00 then an extra $95.00 for a download.

 

If the O2 sensors were disconnected then its most likely it had a PowerCommander tuner on it. I'd guess its either still there, tucked out of sight under the seat, or else the seller decided to remove and eBay it.

If there is no tuner connected now then I suggest reconnecting the O2 sensors (assuming they are there but just disconnected, otherwise you'll have to buy new). Then I'd get a tuner that suits your needs and pocket. A gazillion threads around here on that.

Allegedly the VH pipes are for a '11 bike and since the bike is a '12 there are bungs/adapters needed to hook in the O2 sensors.
And the thing that is frustrating me is that I have talked to three local dealers about the tuner and have three widely differing scenarios. The most extreme being that with no tuner I need a whole new computet AND THEN the new supertuner etc and Im looking at $1k.
I thought that the tuner was married to the bike and useless to sell on Ebay because it would only work with the bike it was set up with. :/

 

The SEPRT is married to your bikes ECM,your right,the tuner is useless on any other bike.
