Default Help With Bars

Hey all, first time posting! Got my first cruiser after making the switch from multiple street bikes... never been happier!!

So here's my question, I've been searching and haven't really found a solid answer. I bought my '06 Street Bob with 4" risers and I'm guessing the stock apes. I want to take off the risers and run some 16" apes. I don't want to run a riser at all and would much rather have all bars instead.

Will this work??
Clamp

Bars
http://www.ebay.com/itm/16-ape-hange...23baf1&vxp=mtr

Will I need any extra hardware to mount these up?
Thanks in advance for any help!

You will need some form of clamp/riser..

What you showed was the top cap of a riser. I have low 1.5 in riser w/o a cap but you should have one.. I will sell my low riser if interested.

A pic of what you have would help. I see ur new to the HD's.. Welcome.. I was there at one point

Welcome to the forum

You can go with smaller risers, That part from cruiser customizing looks like just a top clamp, try these they are the shortest risers I found
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Shorty...r#ht_975wt_922

I hope this helps out

Thanks guys, I just pulled up those shorty risers. I ran home to peek at my current setup and realized I would need a lower riser. I am gonna order those black shorty's on ebay today. Thanks for the help! Much MUCH happier on a Harley.

They do make apes with built-in risers for a direct (solid) bolt on.

Or you could swap your top
clamp with someone who has integrated risers like the newer bobs. I've got one I'd trade you.

I was going to say that, seems like everyone that has that top clamp wants to get rid of it so you can probably get one at no cost - take him up on the offer.

So now I'm thinking I'm about to run into another problem, Ordered 16" apes. Have Shorty 1" risers. Didn't think about the cable situation, I have 4" risers and 10" mini apes, plenty of slack and play on my cables.. will going 16" screw me over and will I need a whole new cable kit?
