Default Help - How do I remove risers and mount bars to triple tree

Ok, so this may be a very simple task, and to be honest I haven't really looked into it.

I have a 2005 Deuce Softail that has some pretty nice apes on it, but I hate the way that the apes are mounted to the stock risers.

How do I remove the risers and mount the bars to the triple tree?

Any help would be great, if you have pictures, even better.

thanks.

Um, if the bars do not have built in risers then you need the ones you have. If you want lower or taller then simpy swap in a defferent set.

Uhhh.... either that or you weld them to it, but that'd look weird. There are apes that you can buy with integrated risers.

Something seems funny here.

You find a different low profile set of risers, probaly a 30 minute job with a cold beer break.

Is there something we are all missing? And not to be a dick, which is how I usually come off, but if you have to ask how to change risers, maybe wrenching isn't for you.

Blackline top clamp and bars "might" work.

So your looking to mount the apes right to the top of the tree?? WHY?? Not only will that look odd but you won't have much if any way to adjust them if you weld them right got be top of the tree. Maybe look into a 1.5" riser? That would get you low to the tree maybe even a 1" riser?

Sorry but is that what your talking about??
