Well what seemed like a simple post asking about what would happen if I took out the baffles on my Rush slip-on's on my 2012 Super Glide Custom has turned into something great. Not just with everyone's responses but I have been in communication with Ryan at Rush in regards to not only how they would sound but I had a issue with one the slip-on's turning blue. Guess what.........Customer service is STILL ALIVE...at least it is at Rush Racing... as I thought it had died in today's world. Ryan has been absolutely outstanding in helping me get the bluing issue resolved and helped out in regards to the baffle question. I would recommend Rush to anyone. Thanks to everyone here and also Ryan at Rush Racing!!!!!!!!!
RUSH RACING ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well this changes everything for you. you have a super glide. Which means you have 2 cats. One in each muffler. Once you remove the mufflers you no longer have cats. If you put on a set of rush slipons with a 2" baffle you will love the sound. It is like having a full exhaust system. My vance and hines big shots have a 2" baffle.

Right now I have the Rush slip-on's with 1.75" baffles. Don't get me wrong I love the sound they have but I want it louder. So after talking with Ryan at Rush I'm going with the 2.25". I had one of the slip-on's blue on me and they are replacing it for me. I will see how they sound and if I'm not satisfied I will go with a full Rush exhaust.

First off Rush was great. Second....big difference in sound. I had the 1.75 and they sounded great. With the 2.25 even better sounding and you can feel it. Real deep. Hard to describe but I'm overly satisfied. One thing...I have a 1.75 in one and a 2.25 in the other as of now. Haven't had time to take the other baffle out and put the new on in. Just replaced the one Rush sent me that blued on me. I know it going to sound even better once I get both to 2.25.
Forgot to add....as for performance can't tell any difference performance wise but it sure as hell sounds faster!!!!!!!!!!!! Will say that when I went from stock to the Rush Slip-on's butt dyno sure felt it.
I had some dealing with Rush on a strange baffle issue last week. Here was my final email to them:
"Thank you very much! I really appreciate your help. This kind of customer service is rare today and I want you to know I appreciate it. You have a customer for life!"
AS for running mufflers with no baffles, it's VERY loud and will probably make the bike run terrible with decel popping, lean condition, etc. I am actually going from 1.75s to 1.50s due to the cops around here ticketing like mad and I am just tired of the all the noise. I already have hearing issues and ringing in my ears. I wear ear plugs all the ime anyway, so whats the point of a loud exhaust. Good luck!
