Good Morning, I have a 2008 Fat Bob that I really enjoy. I recently had back surgery for a blown disc and seem to have recovered nicely. I went on a rough road trip the other day and the pain was returning. Short of buying a dresser I have had good luck with Progressive shocks in the past.
I called Progressive and they recommended going up to a 12.5 inch shock in the 430 series. Has any one went to a longer shock and were there any issues?
Thanks
If your going to throw some cash to improve your ride go all the way and get some olins. In your situation it may make the difference in being able to ride or not. You may be recovering great, but that disc surgery has one of the highest re-injury rate of just about any surgery. Protect your bike and your riding at all cost.
You don't have to get the top of the line olins, but even the cheepest ones will be better then anything progressive makes.
Give Howard at motorcycle metal a call. He can make the shock for your weight and riding. He is a sponsor here and will give you a discount.
