It's not a road king. A road king is a superior touring machine. Hands down, no question about it. The switchy is a short tripper.
I bought a switchy because I am short tripper. I have three you g kids so I can't get a way for more than a day or two. When my kids are older, and I have the time, I will definately be on an RK or a so***lide. But for now, the switchy is right for me.

Ya the rubber grommet/trim thing is there but seems to be a **** ton of space between the mount stud and the bag mount. I can actually lift the rear of the bag
